The 2019 Run For A Cause 5K series kicks off with the Head For The Cure 5K on Sunday, April 14. Whether you’re a casual walker, a competitive runner, or simply want to support brain cancer research and programs through our variety of events, the Head for the Cure 5K is something you don’t want to miss. The scenic course from Genoa Park travels the paved running path along and around the Scioto River for a great view of downtown Columbus, Ohio.
The mission of Head for the Cure is to raise awareness and funding to inspire hope for the community of brain cancer patients, their families, friends, caregivers and other supporters, while celebrating their courage, spirit and energy. We accomplish this by hosting a series of 5K runs/walks and other events to raise funding in support of brain cancer research benefiting local beneficiaries and our national beneficiary, The Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative (BTTC). We also provide support through our programs including Brains for the Cure, survivor luncheons and other community engagements. All of these events and programs allow us to raise funds, awareness and hope for the brain tumor community.
